Olympia State Capitol Tour

Olympia, Washington State Capitol Building

A great time of year to visit the Olympia State Capitol Campus in Washington State is springtime. That is because of the prolific amounts of flowering trees and shrubs that abound on the grounds. The pink cherry blossoms make the seasonal timing visit extra special. But, if you miss the cherry blossom bloom time, don’t let that deter you from visiting the campus. There is much to see and learn about here. Take a tour of the capitol building. Guided, public tours of the Washington State Legislative Building are offered every day of the week. This is a great tourism opportunity if one is visiting the state or if you live in the region and have family and friends visiting from out of state. Marvel at the beautifully colored types of interior marble floors and columns. Did you know that its dome is the fourth tallest masonry dome in the world? If you don’t have the time to do so in person, take a virtual tour.

It’s been a long time since I’ve toured the Capital building! I’m a life-long Washington resident, and I had no idea the dome was that big!
