Mountain laurel is RAD! We tried to grow it in the 1990s, but there was no market for it. No one here knows what it is. The stock plants are still out in the arboretum, but we discontinued production. Also, I do not think that it does as well here as it does in other climates.
I’m still waiting for the ones that I took pictures of to bloom completetly. Like you said, they are so RAD! Don’t see them much around here either, except for the botanical gardens. Such a shame!
