As promised, here are more photo images of the spectacular autumn leaf color we have been experiencing this season. They may be my last leaf photos of the season. Enjoy!

Beautiful!
Except for a flowering cherry in the background, and a bigleaf maple leaf mixed in, all this color seems to be from Japanese maples.
Did your bigleaf maples color well? Ours are reliable, but not as flashy as exotic trees.
Tony, our BigLeaf Maples were fabulous! Our region had some of the best fall colors we’ve seen in years!
Are they just bright yellow, or do the get orange as well there? I happen to really dig the North American maples, even though only two are native here . . . and the other one is just the box elder.
The BigLeaf Maples get very yellow. I have not seen them turn orange ever. We have other maples that turn beautiful shades of pink, orange, magenta, yellow…Not sure what species they are. And yes, the Japanese Maples really put on a show with their varied colors as well.
There are probably not many maples lacking there. Sugar maple and its cultivars are likely the most colorful. Silver maple is not very colorful, and may not be very popular there. It is regarded as not much more than a pretty box elder. I remember that red maple and its cultivars were very popular in Portland. I think I saw more maples in Portland than in Seattle, but I do not remember.
