Reopening of the Seymour Botanical Conservatory

The W.W.Seymour Botanical Conservatory, located at Wright Park, Tacoma, Washington, has recently reopened after being closed to the public, during the last year, for renovations. The conservatory was originally opened in 1908, and is one of only three Victorian-style conservatories on the west coast of the United States.

One of the new additions to the conservatory includes a “living wall.”

The moment one enters the glass conservatory, an explosion of colors amid plants and flowers fills the visual senses. The display of flowers and plants throughout parts of the conservatory will be rotated to reflect the change in seasons.

It looks like a beautiful but above all an interesting place to visit. I love botanical gardens 🙂

  2. Exquisite and beautiful.

    • Thank you! A lot of the plants are newly potted in some parts of the conservatory. It will take some time for them to fill out and look more like a tropical jungle. More species will be added as well.
